Today I recieved an email from one of the tester for products. I realise that the it had a few problems. I was willing to fix it, but here is the thing I created two textures packs, on for V3 ond one for V2 both used the exact same textures except for one item and different transpancies. The one was approved by one tester the other was scutinized by another test (I feel nick picked). How can one tester have different standards than other. I think that there should be guild lines that they should follow.
I am not going to fix these problems what I am going to do is submit them to a different site where I know they will get approved due to the fact that one of my beta testers is the owner of the site. I also am going to boycot the marketplace. And I am sending this tread to several newsgroups.

Your texture sets had seams in them and we dont accept seams. This keeps the product quality high. This is also documented in the Product Submission Guidelines. I hope you will fix the products and re-upload to the store. Clint

"I am not going to fix these problems what I am going to do is submit them to a different site where I know they will get approved due to the fact that one of my beta testers is the owner of the site" ich.. this doesn't really sound good. just an observation

NYGuy - If there were seams in the item, then be glad they didnt pass it.. because they have your and the MP's best interests in mind. They're not doing it to mean or unfair; it's quality control. What one person's eye cannot see, another's can... and would you really want the product to be passed and released w/seams and then have unhappy customers who boycott YOU ? Think about it. And if your beta tester wants it at their site and found nothing wrong, I'd be really cautions of that. You'd be shocked about peoples' motives. I see nothing wrong w/the testing team.. wish there were more so stuff could get released faster ~grin~ but I think they do a good job dedicating so much time to help others out. By 'boycotting' RO, and sending this to the newsgroups, you MAY be doing more harm to yourself than to RO, yanno ? Just my 2 pennies ;)

As somebody who has bought at least 60/70 products from the MP here I must say I agree with the decision to enforce quality control. Nowadays, what with the ease of being able to acquire modelling/texture creation software, anybody can have a stab at getting a product in the MP. With quality control, comes quality itself which is why Renderosity has such a good collection of products. Don't feel bad or hurt, these people are trying to help you, rethink your product and resubmit it. Better to have the chance to fix it now, than have customers complaining and wanting their money back. Best wishes Jody
