I finally got on too. I got DSL and it's still really, really slow. GigaRoc: if you own Vic3, point your browser to www.philc.net and look at what Phil has for her - for an astounding $1.99!! ;o) Laurie

Taura Noxx posted Tue, 11 March 2003 at 11:23 PM

lol I remembered I had about $5 on paypal so I snapped this one up too. Its took a while for the link to work and now its going around 1.5kb with over 2 hours to go. Hopefully my woeful crappy dial up will last long enough for it to finish. My connection has already died once while downloading it, had to start all over again.

BluesPadawan posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 12:18 AM

Still waiting for Phil's acceptance on PayPal before I can get my download...sigh.

Larry F posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 12:29 AM

Cable here and rully rully dragging! Plus took quite a while to get in. Must be a good thing and just gotta be worth the wait! 2.2??!!!? Thought I left all that behind when I dumped dialup! LOL!

nikitacreed posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 12:37 AM

Been trying since 6:56PM. It's now 1:47AM...and I still am getting a too mnay users error. Suppose I will try again in the morning. LOL!

Taura Noxx posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 12:57 AM

hauksdottir posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 1:40 AM

Damnity... cat's out of the bag! Phil has had this "almost freestuff" going for several weeks (and I've been scarfing up each set as it comes out), but now that the whole world knows, I'll never see his server again. :sniff:

PhilC posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 4:32 AM

Hi Folks,

OK I'm through with my Neutral Activity Period and am back at it. I've just glanced at the server and its cooled off slightly, now only glowing a cherry red. As I'm sure you realise if I put this file on a regular server it will cost me more (and hence you more), than $1.99 . Be assured that all orders will be filled, and I'm sure things will settle down after the initial rush.

If any of you produce a good render be sure to let me know, I want to include some more example images on the page.

Happy downloading :)

sob :( sob I still haven't been able to get to the download. Marge

Turtle posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 9:41 AM

I downloaded this yesterday and it went at 20.mg cable connection, my usual is at lest 40 to 60. but this still only took me lest than 20 mins. I also only had $4.00 left in paypal. :O) LuLu is working on some textures for Phils package. :O) Haven't tried these clothes yet, have to burn the zip, so I can get it to my work station, which is not on the internet. This was my advice from Ironbear, to keep that computer off line.

FishNose posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 9:50 AM

Turtle - you don't need to be offline to be safe. 2 alternatives: Get a good S/W firewall - like PC-Cillin, works well and is totally unobtrusive. I can even edit video and burn DVDs without interference from it. It has real time monitoring of incoming files. Works too. And/or: Have 2 different profiles on your machine, one with internet connection and one without. :] Fish

Turtle posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 10:12 AM

Thanks Fishnose, I will keep that in mind. Because if this computer gives out. I will be using my new one. No way will I put any money into this crappy computer. My husband and I have a very complecated (spell?) Sharing the net. I will have to have our Tech guy come out and program the new computer in, so it can be on line. I do not mess with what I don't know. :O) Learn this the hard way. lol.

pigfish posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 5:28 PM

I finally got through and I'm downloading at 1.9 kb/sec. Think my dial-up connection will hang on without hanging up for the 3 hours, 45 minutes the download is supposed to take? I forsee several hours of texturing in Photoshop since I don't dare download anything else and my Poser5 hates it when I'm on the Net.

pigfish posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 7:29 PM

Good news! It only actually took 1:56 instead of 3:45 and that's one more person off the server. Now I'm off to try some textures...

JetM posted Wed, 12 March 2003 at 9:26 PM

No way! $1.99?!? That's insane. So insane, I'm on my way over there right now...

TrekkieGrrrl posted Thu, 13 March 2003 at 3:36 AM
