Anyone know where to get good sound effects for animations. I'm particularly interested in Sci-Fi sounds. I have a few on CD, but the majority of CD's that I've found mostly contain clearly computer-produced sounds (like from the late 70's early 80's). None of it sounds "natural." Anyone know of a web site or a really good CD?

Check out sounddogs.com. Their CD's are awfully expensive, but they do have professional sounds (from fox, warner brothers, lucasfilm, etc.) available for individual purchase (you can listen to real audio first, I think). If anybody has other good sites, I would be interested in those, too.

Thanks. Just went there. Geez, I think it would be cheeper to actually go into space and record the sounds myself. Now I know why all of those CD's I've found really stink.

Hmmmm... I checked out mc-des just to make sure it was still good and can't seem to find much? They used to have hordes of great free effects. Try Stonewashed If there's a specific sound you need.. try searching for it here Good luck
