I am going to post this in the Bryce and Poser forums, hopefully someone will have an idea about whats going on. I have two figures I created in Poser, one is a simple poser character with two poser props, the second is a character with several clothing items and props. My problem comes when I try to import these into Bryce. I keep getting an error message that says "A file error has occured (i/o bad media)". Any one have an idea what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks for any help.

yep :) have a quick look in freestuff for either Metal Fixer or Grouper 1.4 both will fix the obj files, there's a bug in the poser export that adds some lines that Bryce chokes on.
