I agree. Maybe won't make any difference, but "political" was too flame-inviting. And "world events" seems more appropriate. Stefano

Politics and world events aren't the same thing. My image 'One: Numbers Matter' (see link) is specifically political but nothing at all to do with world events: it's about sexuality. I just took a look at other images that are now re-classified as World Events. Images about women's issues seem to be homeless now, as would any image intended to highlight issues such as HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, racism, human rights, animal rights, anti-globalisation, GM food, poverty, etc etc. I agree that 'World Events' is a useful category, but it should be there in addition to political, not instead of it. I second "cambert"'s opinion..."World Events" implies "current" events,ie: whatever is the flavour of the week in the media. "Politics" would seem to be the place for issues-based imagery that is not limited to its shelf-life on CNN.
