I'd recognise that style of artwork anywhere! Nice one! Just for the info, do you have to get all judges to accept, or is it just a majority?foleypro posted Sat, 29 March 2003 at 12:37 PM
Yes he is becoming one of the best known BRYCE artists around and this is a special honor since almost all of BRYCE"S art is turned down....His POV are stunning not too mention the textures and lighting...

They obviosly recognise great art no matter what program is used. It is a stunning image and really, would we expect anything less from Rochr, his work is always stunning. Cat

Uhhmm...I think i will have to do a serious maintenance check of my memory circuits, because something doesnt work... I actually never knew i had a pic there...serious! Ive sent a couple of pics there, but that was a long time ago, and as i remembered it, none were accepted. Thanx a lot for letting me know, and of course for the kind words! But this really makes me even more curious why the heck they didnt accept any of your works Simon!

And ive just checked the date when it was posted. The newest one! Seems theres nothing wrong with my memory, but i did NOT send this to them! Of that im sure! Why should i post one of my older pieces and not a new (and much better) render? Strange...

Twilight Zone Posting! Congrats are in order nevertheless. Hey, could it be possible they had a short month of entries, posted your stuff & never notified you? Could that be grounds to post a few more? ;)
Rochr posted Sat, 29 March 2003 at 4:33 PM
That is one possible explanation, or they have a very long waiting list! :) Anyway, its nice to have a piece there, even if i still think theres a lot of elitism on that page! This has really been a great month. Got an email from 3D Total about a week ago, and it seems that the "Stargate" (i think), has been accepted for the gallery. Wonder if it has something to do with the fact, that i "forgot" to write that it was made in Bryce...??? Simon, why not try to send some of your images there? I cant believe they would turn down your awesome "Ox the hunter"!

I second Rochr's opinion, Simon, fwiw. Damn 3dtotal and their javascript and badly designed site, btw.

Rochr, it appears that 3D Total is not against Bryce. there's a picture in Scenes where the author openly says he created in Bryce 5. "Autumn Leaves Bed".

Youre probably right! Redinard has a pic there as well! Its just that ive had some bad experience when posting to some high end galleries, so i just thought i try this way and see if it "helped"... :)

Perhaps it was something to do with the 3D World cover? It jogged their memory or something and they realised your stuff would be an asset to the site? Who knows, they are strange people... ;) I may submit my next piece - although I haven't started it yet! I'll post the judges' results up here!

I wish i had their results when i sent in the pics. I believe you must have a majority accepting the pics, not all of them. It would be pretty impossible to have all judges votes i think...but i can very well be mistaking about this. Im going to submit a couple of my newest, and see what they say. Ill let you know about the results.
