I use Kromekat's and other bark textures on trees, since the bark on the Vue trees tends to be a bit, er, blah. I've noticed that there are often weird stretched or other artifacts showing up in the render. This happens especially on the cherry trees and the dead trees. The image shows arrows pointing at some of the areas on a blossoming cherry, using one of Kromekat's textures. This happens with all the other bark textures I have as well, other than the palm tree textures on the Vue palms, but since the palm trunks are just straight, that might have something to do with it.I've tried all the resampling modes and still get the strange artifacts. I usually end up hiding them with other vegetation or cloning them out in postwork. Any of our Vue gurus have an idea on why this happens? Any suggestions for solutions to this? I know if a texture is non-tiling you will get some lines, but this is stranger, like the texture is stretched out or distorted. If the Vue trees could be exported, they could be remapped in UV Mapper, but since they can't, I'm at a loss. Thanks!
