You can buy some grass abjects in the store fairly cheaply ($10 I think) for Poser, but I assume they are also in .obj/3ds format which could be imported into Bryce and placed under a terrain object! Do a search - they came out quite recently.

oh yeah..there's even sites devoted to Bryce Animation. Did you try a Google (or your fave engine) search? Crossroads, the program, will do several conversions, don't know about a .vmo..Cosmopolitan what?..;) There were some experimental grass textures out there..but can't find it, dangit. Here's a grass-making tutorial..not top quality, but a possibility http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Nook/9613/grass.html http://www.geocities.com/imanonymis/sfx3d/grass.html Animation tutorial here.. http://www.corelmag.com/3d/anim.html Tutorials in General.. http://www.3dmodelworld.com/tutorials/bryce http://www.petersharpe.com/Downloads.htm http://dva.bgsu.edu/tutorials/bryce5.html (animated ) There's more, but I need to clean up my site listings..this should start you out.

Sounds like you're looking for something to do hair rather than grass. There are several good tutorials on hair painting available and some relatively inexpensive hair painting "kits" available in the marketplace here.

On page 31 of the first issue of Renderosity Magazine, there's a great tutorial for painting hair in Photoshop.

Bantam 3d also has a hair generator, but it's not free, I think it's $10 USD....
