Here is the Manchu Emperor of Qing Dynasty that we intend to donate with Steve to the renderosity store for 100% profit for this site... Since not many of you seem to visit the ideas forum, I had to post him here and ask for your help once again..any ideas about the ideal props that might create his environment other than a chinese vase, a screen or so many others already available? We wish to make him with Steve a better bargain and worthwile to be sold for Renderosity's profit! No need I guess to tell you who does the modeling and who the texturing! :o) Costume-slippers (comforming both), hair and character morph, are all original... So let's here some ideas for original props as well! :o) renapd

How about a gilded cage where he can keep his nightingale? Or a kite?

Wow!! Pretty good so far!! Let me see... Maybe a Katana set(come in 3, forgot the names!) with the wooden stand. If your really ambitious: a "Shogun" outfit... And If you do a'Geisha like Brschmidt suggested, then get her the "Ceremonial Tea" Props... Hope this Helps!!

One of the best movies I've seen lately is 'The Emperor and the Assassin'. Given whatever year it represents, it would be a whole movie full of ideas. BTW, I like the gesture that donating to the store makes.

Wow! Looks great guys!!! Thanks so much for your wonderful support. I'm afraid I am no expert on the Qing dynasty, but weren't Pekingnese dogs originally bred to hide in the sleeves of emperors? When, I have no idea. Anyone want to make a Pekingnese?

You could probably do a good "Peek" (or even a chow) with a good texture map on a deformed sphere... ;-) Seriously, they would be good models to suggest to Anton in his "What Posable Models Should I Work On" thread

LOL Charlie Brown! I guess that's a wise choice as I have totally NO idea what a peek might be or chow..and I doubt if steve does either! grin renapd

A Chow is a medium sized dog with enough hair to be a GIANT dog. Looks kind of like a round teddy bear. A Pekinese looks like someone left a chow in the dryer WAY too long, then smashed it's face with a frying pan... Mostly a tiny version of the same. Yappy little beasts. Cute as all get out, but the yapping could drive a saint to distraction. Both breeds are distinguished, IIRC, but the blue tongues they have. If you've ever seen a "Foo Dog" or "Foo Lion" statue, the Chow was the original model.
