Are there any positioning guidelines for getting Victoria 2 hair to fit well on Victoria 3? Thanks

I just tweak it until it looks right. I don't know if anyone has figured out any particular positioning for it. It sort of depends on which hair I'm using. Also, if it's a conforming hair, it won't conform. I just use the Set Figure Parent to stick it to her head. Melanie

Actually, character hair (cr2) will conform if the joint centers are adjusted. Go to the freebie zone at my site and look for the utility poses - Center Setters. Nether

Yes, conforming doesn't work all that well. I have been finding that often it can be conformed, but then she is bald up top. A little tweaking of the Yscale and Zscale helps, but it often changes throughout an animation. You could alter the setup of the hair figure, but that gets complicated. You would think that there may be some good "generic" settings to get a hair "prop" to fit, but the headshapes are a little different and some pieces fit closer to the scalp than others. When you do line them up, parent them to the head before saving to the library, so you don't have to play around with it the next time.

Lots of people have put out fixes for their hair-- Vairesh and Dark Whisper come to mind. So you can conform them-- I think, I have not actually tried. Havent' had much problem with getting hair on V3, just usually a slight adjustment on Z trans, sometimes a bit up on Y. Never very much. Emily

The only problem you should be having with V2 Prop Hair on V3 is maybe the back of the hair and the fact that V3's ears are higher and more forward. Using a magnet or two would probably fix it convincingly enough.

No problems with H Mann's Total Hair.
