This is the first shot I took with the Nikon since I got it at the end of the year that I felt was worthy of y'all ripping it apart. ;-)~ This is a shot of a the main "in" street in West Chester PA (US). I wanted to take this while the street was wet but by the time I got there it had dried up. The red is intensified by my scanner, just an Epson 1200 flatbed. I did NOT use a star filter. This is a setting of over 5 seconds and wide open apature. Thoughts? How can I do better? Magick Michael

Nice shot! I like the "warm" tone of the image - contributes to the atmosphere. I really have nothing to say to "improve" this image, with the exception (and this is VERY miniscule) - it would have been neat, given the overall "red" of the image, if the stoplight at the intyersection were red as well - but that's a stretch.

Heh heh... I actually wish the traffic light is more green! For more emphasis on the leading lines. ;-) But I'm not complaining. This is a wikked kewl shot. (*

Looks nothing like Chester(UK). Which I suppose can only be a good thing. Met a girl from there once while I was on holiday. She told me all the girls from there were as easy as her. Ho hum. Anyways, that's of the subject. s'pretty good. (",)

I gathered that you emphasized the lights. I thought that there was too much light. But then I've been accused of being a vampire. =:-) And I also noticed that you decided NOT to take the picture from the center of the street was this to make it more interesting? I think it MIGHT look better with the car lights at the end of the picture PS'd out and the picture taken from the center of the street. But that's my opinion. Bsteph
