Real life looking clothes by Uzilite--higher than average in cost, as usual, but they look great. I'm really tempted. I bet the same clothes could be used for female/male figures...they are tailored looking. What I can't tell is if they are limited to use for the very slender model Uzilite favors...that puts them off my purchasing list. If anyone buys, or knows, if the suits have flexibility in body types, I'd love to know. They look great but I don't want to buy anything that only fits thin people. The shirt is sold separately from the jacket and pants, by the way.

Where?!!

dialyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 11:22 AM

At Daz - in the Premier section. I'm sorry. I'm such a dimwit. That's what taking a day off will do to your brain.

thgeisel posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 11:31 AM

the uzilite stuff is really great.if only the price would be a bit lower.( dont say it is not worth the money!!!)

dialyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 11:33 AM

I haven't bought anything by uzilite for that reason, but this outfit is a classic and might be worth the investment if it fits more than one body type. I also wish it came with the shoes/boots.

Crescent posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 11:34 AM

The blouse isn't included. It's from another set. :(

MachineClaw posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 12:03 PM

They look stunning to bad about the price. I won't buy a poser shirt that costs the same or more than a real shirt, I just can't justify it. If the 2 products had been combined into a package together for $20 I probably would have whipped out the CC. As it is, it's just pretty to look at while I see what else I'll buy at Daz. As a purchaser just voicing my opinion about price, not taking anything away from what looks like a great product. I'm glad others voice their opinons too, seems I'm not alone.

queri posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 12:43 PM

Ok, I probably have a bit more discretionary money to spend so you ight want to disregard this, but I've never been sorry for anything I've bought from uzilite. The detailing is remarkable and it always fits like a dream. Kinda like billyT, his stuff isn't cheap either and the quality reflects it. Now having said that, I've never seen any morphs in uzilite to adjust to body type and with the morphs listed I doubt there are any now. Might be able to get the boots and pants to fit Vmale with tailor, but I'm dubious about the jacket. Am I gonna buy all of them-- yeah, any chance to get any discount at all on uzilite is worth it to me. It will probably be the best suit Vicki3 ever has, but I wish he would quit teasing us with the skirt. Emily

dialyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 12:46 PM

Thank you, Emily. That was my suspicion about the morphs. I've no luck with Tailor so I guess I will pass even though I love the look of the suit and shirt. I don't have that much discretionary money so anything I buy has to be "one size fits all." Appreciate the feedback!

ablc posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 12:47 PM

does it fit the V3 male ?

Eowyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 3:33 PM

Even if there are no body morphs in it, it's simple enough to transfer them with the Tailor. Tailored clothes usually work well unless you use extreme morph values. :)

dialyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 3:38 PM

yeah, it's easy for you to use the Tailor. For me, it's not so easy. At any rate, the Daz Morphing Dress is now available in the Platinum Club. That should keep me busy for awhile. Though it is not what I had in mind when I wished for clothes for the V3 male. Details, details, details.

Eowyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 4:08 PM

dialyn, Do you have some technical problems with the Tailor or is it just that you find it difficult to use? I could try making step-by-step instructions for you if you're able to use the program.

Crescent posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 4:42 PM

I've never had very good results from the Tailor. The morphs always end up looking lumpy for me, so I don't really use it, either.

kayjay97 posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 4:53 PM

I have never had much luck with the Tailor either. Utilize makes some awesome stuff. Top of the line but like others, I don;t want V3's clothes costing more than mine. LOL.

I agree that they look nice, but they are way too expensive. I might be willing to pay $30 for the set(pants, jacket, shirt, and boots), but not $50+!

queri posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 8:38 PM

Eowyn, I find the Tailor horridly hard to use, but would surely love a seriously dumbed down talk through for Vick3. If I can get my stuff morphed to Victor, I would be glad to find a way to offer the morphed versions to others. I want to morph all the cyber suits at Rdna as well as the pants to the adventurer's at Daz. Emily

Not only that but there's no Tailor for the Mac. :( Or Objaction Mover. Or is it RTE Encoder? One of those 2 leaves the Mac users in the dust, while the other can be handled with MacConvertor.

It looks good. But coz of the price for the set I couldn't buy it. I don't buy stuffs that are too expensive as in the first place, I don't earn money from them, poser is purely a hobby thing for me. Secondly clothes and stuffs also run of fashion quick with so new stuffs everyday. But sometimes I do break the rules and buy the stuffs I really like alot :)

Ghostofmacbeth posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 9:20 PM

I have thought about it but the price comes up .. Iwould stll consider possibly getting something of his/hers but the lack of morphs just makes it really impractical. Especially since tailor doesn't exist for me. even then the lack of morphs for that price is just too high for me.

dialyn posted Thu, 03 April 2003 at 9:23 PM

At least I don't feel so alone now. It does feel as if there is a whole group of us that would like clothes, reasonably priced, that can be fitted without requiring an outside program that may (or may not) be capatable with our systems. Doesn't seem like so much to ask for.

Eowyn posted Fri, 04 April 2003 at 3:14 AM

note to self: try to write a clear tutorial on how to transfer V3 morphs with the Tailor I'm currently busy with a magazine article but will get to work on the tutorial when I finish the article :) Crescent, yeah it depends on the clothing item whether the morphs look good or not. Sometimes they work very well, sometimes not. Generally smaller values work a lot better than anything extreme. I've had my share of lumpy looking morphs too :)

noggin posted Fri, 04 April 2003 at 3:59 PM

Eowyn that would be really helpful. I'd assumed because it was written before V3 Tailor wouldn't be much use in the V3 suituation_ happy to hear I'm mistaken.

Crescent posted Fri, 04 April 2003 at 4:29 PM

There are a few ways to do it. Lord Nagakawa made a manniquin that can fake it, and I posted in a thread what lines you can cut out of a V3 character so the Tailor would work properly. Cheers!

queri posted Fri, 04 April 2003 at 5:11 PM

I'm trying to think of a way to distribute any morphs and I'm stumped, because there are two products involved to protect, Daz's Male Morph Pack and ehatever clothing pack is involved. I was wondering, if lightning struck and I figured out how to do this with say-- I'm gonna take an easy example, Xurge's new Rogue for Vickie 3. Would it seem at all possible to turnover the zip file, objeaction encoded or however for the Male morph pack, to Xurge to offer as a freebie update to his clothing. That way, it would only be offered to those who had purchased Rogue, and Daz's morphs would also be protected. Not that I know how to do any of this so far, but if I learn I want to share. Emily

MachineClaw posted Fri, 04 April 2003 at 5:53 PM

You can double encode for distribution. So that both products would be needed to unencode. Someone just did this for the hybrid V2body/V3head and double encoded so that V2 and V3 are both needed. Still not gunna buy um at that price (hoping creator sees this thread). Check the main Poser forum for "hybrid" I think and you should see the info on double encoding. 2 cents
