This is a bug in habwares plugin. It have been discussed here before and I heard someone say that they did report it and Hab did reply that they are not going to fix it... the solution, then, is to import and export with the scale of 1.0

Figured it out this is the fix if you import an object file at 100.0: (All in max) step 1) Click the create arrow tab called the create tab in max. Move the object to zero Step 2) click the modify tab and select edit mesh from the drop down menu. click polygons and make sure ignore backfacing IS NOT checked. Step3) Select ALL polygons on the object you made. Step 4) click the move tool at the top and move the polygons to the location you want them to be on the body that your referencing. (Vicky or posette) Step 5) Check to make sure the object is still at zero by clicking the arrow tab (Create tab) and click the move tool it will tell you the object is still on 0 Step 6) export it as an OBJ file and make sure vertex scale is at 0.01 Step 7) now its ready for poser.
