You should try downloading some of the free lightsets, Poser's lights are hard to get right (at least to me) and your character looks a little dull/dark to me. You need to work on that grass too, try a new layer so that some of the grass goes in front of her feet and wall and stuff. For a first render this is pretty good and the things to improve are mainly in the post work fase. The thing about the grass not showing... Did you render over a background image? Png's (and tiff's) have an alpha channel in Poser, that's why it didn't show up :o) I like that stone wall :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

I didn't notice that she looked so dark last nite, but I can see that now. I fixed the grass and lightened her up a bit, but I need to lighten her up in poser. Her face is still really dark. Thanks for the critique! I've linked the fixed graphic so I don't overload it here `;~)TrekkieGrrrl posted Wed, 09 April 2003 at 9:54 AM

Your new one looks better. You still need some shadows. If you used layers, you can add shadows in your favorite paint program. Or turn shadows on in your render options. Also it helps to have just your main light with shadow on, the rest of the lights, shadow off. You have a good start for your first render. Good Luck. Tashar 59
