alright, working on a part of my model for my april challenge and ran into this problem. I made a path so I could conform metablls to it to create a form and soon found out that I could not group the objects that are connected to the path with each other or any other object for that matter. What I want to do is shrink all the metaballs so it fits with the rest of my model (and no I cannot resize the rest of my model for the same reason). Anyone know any way that I can do this? Help is very much appreciated!

alright, metablls; more typo's 8)=) When you've placed the metaballs along the path you can just 'unlink' them from the path. Then you can group and resize them again. The problem is that you can't adjust the shape anymore by altering the path, but if the shape is good anyway you can just unlink the meta's from the path.

When I write a text for school with some friends they always think I didn't do a spellin-check. I make so many typo's that there's still at least ten typo's per page left after the spelling-check.

I think you could also just resize the path with the objects still linked to it if you have copy size or whatever it is checked (I don't remember the exact wording and I can't look at the moment, but it'll be checked unless you unchecked it). That way you can still edit the shape later if needed.

I'm not sure whether that post made any sense at all to anyone else.... Making sense is more of a problem for me than typos, and harder to fix, too!

yea child objects linked in a hierarchy can not be grouped. But the child objects will inherit the attributes of the parent ( including scaling ) So just scale the path. Also the parent of a hierarchy can be included in a group.
