Cool pic bro ;-) One thing the shadows /light coming from the trees in the back does not seem to sit quite right with me. Could just be me though ;-) Chris

Thanks guys. :) Mike, they do look a little upset don't they... :) Chris, those shadows are from trees that are just out of sight due to camera angle. The sun is positioned at your 10 o'clock, and it is the only light source... -Rob

heya; cool! i think the problem in the distant trees is, they look to be casting shadows to the left, but those are really shadows from (i guess) trees off camera. that's anthropomorphism, cybeo. these are mythological creatures called centaurs. somewhat different. i'm sure you could channel rob in the knights on horseback direction, if you offered him a nice commission. :)

Jody, thanks. The beard, though part of the t-map, was done in PSP6 via the smudge and soften tools (1px & 2px brush size). cybeo, perhaps you have work viewable online to enlighten me on the way things "should" be done? Until then, your "critique" is a bit... well... you know. Good effort though. Just has to be channeled in the right direction. blood, thanks. Your correct, the shadows are from trees off camera. The fog, in addition to the effects of ambience and perspective on color make it a little hard to see the shadows in the background. I tried a few other camera angles in order to include a glimpse of the trees, but they were not complimentary to the rule of thirds. I would have panned left, but... the far centaur would have become centered and created a focal point at 0,0. -Rob

heyas; the shadows look good though, without them, you wouldn't get a sense of there being a forest beyond the picture boundaries. but at first look, it does kinda look like the background trees are casting shadows the wrong way. maybe cyb would like 'irony.' is that here in the gallery, rob? :)

blood, the only place I've submitted my images to are Meta (pre-self-destruction phase), Zygote and Chemical Studios (fastanation competition). My personal gallery is viewable via http://rbtwhiz.theartzone.com. I'm in the process of updating the gallery now... The image below, "Ironic" is actually one that resides in Zygote's Hall of Fame, and I am honored. -Rob
