Hi Floks I want to make a comic with Poser 4, and I need some help (well, maybe a big help). In a first place I want to create some good backgrounds like buildings or street (is there some tutorial for this) Are there some props to do it?. About interiors Id like some tips of how to do it well (Im recently began to use Poser 4). And finaly If someone who had made a comic before I would like to receive some piece of advice, it will be a great help for me. Thanks to all of you in advance Pablo

If you check the frestuff section there are lots of building related ones: Check the 'Props'... There's wall sections, windows, doors, oriental tea rooms, greek baths, etc... ;-) As for advice to creating your comic: 1- make sure you do a 'Storyboard' of what you want. So when you break down your story, you'll know exactly what you need for your scenes! One quick way to your interior design would be to use the simple cube primitive in poser and just add texture to it... A good way to learn is to watch the best at it. Check out the "Sacred Truth" at http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/lucky/472/ It's one of my favorites!! Hope this helps a bit! Marc

Great idea, Pablo! Let me know a bit more about what you plan to do. I'm still using Poser3, but I'd love to be involved. In addition to Marc's advice, also check out 3D Cafe (http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/default.asp). Berge

I don't think you can do it well without Bryce, Poser4, and some 3d program like Carrara or RDD. Also, try one of those home designe studio packages, the can make quick background renders of interiors for buildings. My website has several examples of what you are talking about www.geocites.com/richardglasgow/

You might want to checkout the 3D comic collective if you haven't already. http://mercury.spaceports.com/~3drc/

Also, I've noticed that many 3D comic artists use bizarre lettering fonts, which can detract from the overall look. Stop by Blambot Comic Fonts for some great free fonts that will come in handy. http://www.piekosarts.com/blambotfonts/ Hope it helps. :) SnowS Hoping his pictures are worth 1001 words.
