So, alas, V3 --with all her head and body morphs, textures, and custom clothing (what little of it there is)-- is heading to my scrap bin.

What are you using? StretchLegs or scaling? If scaling, did you update V3?
When I use stretchlegs to 1 I get a bump behind the knee when bending. The other flatness on top of vicki's leg is a result of bending the wrong part.. usually you have to use a combination of bend to the glute and to the thigh to get a non-flat result.
Incidentally, Vicki is already 8+ heads tall. You could get a long leg effect by shortening the trunk.

You're using the update for V3? I've not had that problem at all. And if it's V2's body you want, there's a v3/v2 hybrid here in the freestuff area!

Have you got the SR1 service pack installed? If not, try that. If you have and you still want good legs, buy Jim Burton's "Glamourous Vicky" at DAZ. She has fantastic legs, trust me on this one... :) later jb

Is this a problem genrally with V3? I use a lot of scaling, amongst other things I managed to bring down Vicki2 to about 9 yrs of age, with morphs and scaling, and she works OK. But if V3 is this bad with just a little leg scale, wow.... :] Fish

I don't think it's a general problem with V3, if a younger V3 is what you're looking for...nakamuram posted Tue, 15 April 2003 at 12:59 AM
Try my Playmate Quick Start for V3. It is available at www.poserpros.com in the Free Stuff Forum. I posted it on Mar. 2, so you will have to go back 2 or 3 pages.

Ya. I had this problem, not with scaling, but with magnets. Had my magnet set to include the shin and the thigh. (I was working on a calf bulge. When it got to the joint, it just wouldn't inlclude the part that was on the thigh. Just stopped dead.

Thanks Praxis :o).....I wouldn't say its a problem with Vicky 3 i think DAZ just opened the joints a little to help prevent overlap when we bend the legs a lot.....I think we as users have developed a habit of ignoring the joint room kinda like a car owner that never opens the bonnet (hood ;o) of the car, yet if we did we could improve performance, this is one classic example of such a thing, and also if V2 users opened the joints a little when the leg is bent a lot........Steve

I also changed the displayed leg-bend pose from 0 deg hip & -65 deg thigh to -30 deg hip (the supposed limit) & -35 deg thigh. There's still an inappropriate flat patch near the hip joint on the thigh, but it's not as bad. And the weird bulge on top of the thigh is significantly lessened.
I may try Jim Burton's Glamorous Vicky, but I've already built and applied a number of my own magnets, and I'm not sure how well those would transfer to GV. I'd like to keep using my own magnets because they deform the V3 clothes as well as V3 to maintain the fit.
But maybe I won't scrap V3 just yet.
Again, thanks to everyone...
