Does Carrara have a Toon/Cell Shader like Illustrate for 3DS Max? I havent been to find one. thanks

Carrara 2.0 has Digital Carvers Guild's Toon! built into it. If you select the scene and click the Filters button you can add a Tool! filter to the scene. Brian

And, let us not forget, adding VectorStyle to Carrara provides further toon-looking style, and you can actually render Flash and Illustrator vector files! But Toon is great on it's own though. It renders texture maps and all...

awesome..yep..i got the package with Vectorstyle..i worked with the demo a bit..ive still got ray dream studio 5.1..i dont use it much anymore, but im looking forward to Carrara

I started my 3D journey on Ray Dream 3 or 4! That is how I came to Carrara2 Studio. On another monitor on my right there is a GI render running that I will upload tomorrow, I think. If you have the resources, it is a nice step forward. Strangely enough one thing I liked about Ray Dream did collapse: these days Boolian actions gets you artefacts I do not remember from using Ray Dream. Do NOT throw away that copy when you upgrade. I actually earn some money with the output from Carrara (and VectorStyle incidentally). Including flash/illustrator stuff. My new firm actually has a house style that would not exist without it.
