everything except for the mikes, is modelled by me. would like some feedback.

Excellent work on the models. I would recommend smoother materials.

Maybe not smoother, but just smaller scale textures (same bumps, just smaller) Great modeling!

nice render and good job Gsltraz.

Lyrra posted Wed, 16 April 2003 at 10:14 PM

very nice .. I agree that the metal surface need a less intense bump ... otherwise nicely done

Gsltraz posted Wed, 16 April 2003 at 10:18 PM

well, the bumps should be less intense if it was bright new shiny armor. this is armor that has been trhough many different battles.

Very good likeness to the original image! Jay

I would agree with the comments that have been made about the bump. It's a very nice image, very rich in detail. I'm curious, what was the original image that jaybutton mentioned?

this here is a classic scene from the warhammer 40k. it's been both drawn and made using miniatures before.

Looks great to me.

Excellent work! But where's Sanguinus, and Horus should have a more purplish feel to his skin, and paler, with glowing white eyes... Seriously, excellent work with the terminator suits!

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

MachineClaw posted Wed, 16 April 2003 at 11:50 PM

Nicely done. I love the bump myself, has a real painted dicast metal feel to it something rarely seen in poser renders. I love it. great job. nice modeling too :)

swfreeman posted Thu, 17 April 2003 at 5:24 AM

dont smoothen anything..this armors are supposed to be hundreds..or thousands of years old... so how they could still be shiny? this terminator armors where in thousands of battles... very hard to believe that they look like new ... more like erodet metal..

Gsltraz posted Thu, 17 April 2003 at 5:49 AM

erhh. val. what do you base that on? i just used the picture on the front of the previous chaos codex for reference to horus' face (one blind eye, and one working). and isn't abaddon the one who is usually depicted with the glowing white eyes?

Gsltraz posted Thu, 17 April 2003 at 5:50 AM

ps. sanguinius is behind the emperor. can't see his wings since they are behind him pointing towards the back of the scene.

having been a warhammer fantasy/40k fan for years I'll say these are great, fancy trying your hand at making a tyrannid? A nice Hive Tyrant would go down well :)

Nice job. I happen to like the heavy bump maps; it adds a very John Blanche feel to it. Don't remember if he did the original. Of course, if you really wanted to go for that Blanche look, you'd probably want to add all sorts of clutter to the foreground and few random flying skulls. -g- I'm impressed though. Nice, nice job.
