Hey, I just got Vue. I have been looking through the manual, but I can't find answers on the following: 1) How do you do volumetric lighting? I'm sure it's possible, but I can't figure out how. 2) If I want a shaft of colored light (e.g. a light saber) do I use light or just a fancy material? If it's in the manual, just let me know where. Thanks!

1. p. 201 of the manual. 2) possibly the same page. I also like to give objects the 'Halo' material then turn up the light effects settings on the material and put a light inside it.

I'm new to it too. I've yet to try that tutorial. Just noticed it when flipping pages. I've had the program a little over 2 weeks. But they've been busy weeks.
