I'm not sure how it would make money, or even how it would work, but it would be nice to have a forum that would concentrate on job listings, graphics, illustration, advertising, whatever came along. If employers knew that they would get well qualified and talented applicants from Renderosity, they might be willing to pay a reasonable fee to list their job openings here. I know it would certainly help me out a lot

and if we really have 15,000 members, that's a huge database to pick employees from

Maybe Renderosity could do a joint thing with some of the resume sites? Like Monster.com, or Headhunter.net (if they deal with art; I don't remember) or some such? Not sure...

Sci-Fi Art .com has a forum just like that. Wouldn't be that hard to implement.

from what i've heard and seen, companies DO come here and HAVE hired people from things they've seen on this site. it also allows them to "see" how the person acts and deals with others before approaching them.

I like the idea, bones. I probably wouldn't get hired, but hey, all you need is a dollar and a dream....

I think this is a fine idea. One concern though: The privacy of the 15,000+ members. How much personal information would be provided to the headhunters?
