What are? > 4 AIM-120 AAMRAM on LAU-114 Dual rail adapters (one adapter on a hardpoint under each wing) 2 GBU-24 PAVEWAY III (one hardpoint under each wing) < Last scene looks good, its not too dark.

I actually like the sunset idea better. You could add a series of ranged light blue radial lights in the cealing of that walkway. That would lighten up the bridge some, but also give it a cold look. And perhaps a couple of "streetlights" on the bridge, lighting up parts of the road. But either way, you should turn down the ambience on the bridge textures. Makes it look kinda washed out.

IIRC AAMRAM are long range radar guide air to air missile and GBU are guide bombs that spray bomblets used mostly in destroying runways or convoys. This is purely by memory so I could be wrong but it's easy to look-up on the web. I like either the 2nd or 3rd render

Also, but some people on the bridge, both above with the tanks, and below on the foot bridge. Wherever there are tanks there are people. And those .50 calibers on the top of the tanks would be mained, and probably aimed up at those planes. Some tracer fire might be nice, and mostly ineffectual against the heavily armored A-10. Not to be picky, but the A-10 is called the warthog cause it stays in the bushes. The attack looks a bit high for a typical A-10 attack. Perhaps lower the wingman. But all in all, it's great image. My things are picky.

Thanks, now I and other folks know what you were talking about. Can I use a Paveway on a mud street?
Rochr posted Tue, 22 April 2003 at 5:06 PM
Well, if you want to use those radials, i think the effect would be greater with a darker sky/atmosphere. Kinda like a "burning sky" or similar. Allows you to play around more with lighting effects. But thats just my suggestion. :)

Seven, you can use a Paveway anywhere you's like to. But, will it "stick" to the mud? hehe Rochr, I changed the sky to an indian summer type of sky with a lot of orange that still allows for a bit of shadow in the foreground that will allow for a couple of streetlights. Trying to see if I can get a bit of volume in the light itself. Still playing around with it. I kind of understand what you mean by putting the lights under the bridge, but can you point me somewhere where I might see an example of it?

what about the 30mm gatling which takes up most of the plane..those things are just the diddy for getting rid of T-72's..a lot of this stuff you can look up in the Jane's books, the History (airplane) Channel, or heck, even a Tom Clancey novel..;)
Hard Points are mainly mounting brackets for munitions, drop tanks, electronics packages, etc. I think the Warthog (the affectionate name for this jet) has a few more than 2..;) but what the hey..good pic, but I think I'd be a bit higher and farther away before 'pickling'; otherwise you'd get clobbered by the giblets all that fraggin' will produce..but it's only a pic..keep it up.

I didn't know warthogs could load so much munition, that said I wouldn't like to swooping ground targets with a 500lb bomb beneath my armour, I guess deliver the pacakges first before making canon runs. Personally I like image 3 but there you go !!
