I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to take say the basic square in the primitive items and turn it into dynamic cloth (so say a square of silk). I am trying to create a martial art model with a kung fu type sash. Any ideas? Regards Richard

Yes, you can, but a better solution is to take the hi-res square. Dynamic cloth requires a certain resolution to work properly and the basic square does not have enough polygons. The hi-res square was added to the primitives library to solve this.

So do I take the hi res square and then set the dynamics setting to 1 or is there other things I need to do? Thank you for the help so far by the way.

You need to use the Cloth Room to create a cloth simulation for the square. Chapter 34 in the manual deals with this. Poserfashion (www.poserfashion.net) has a good tutorial on how to create flags, tablecloths and curtains using dynamic cloth. I'm sure you will find something useful for your project there.
