If you want us to see the original why not provide a directlink....how in the world are we supposed to know where to find it by sending us to the front page? The one here is all jpg artifacts and has weird colors....is that how you wanted it to look?

I am, therefore I create.......

I kinda dig - dug the weird almost fusha reds. But then I've been hanging out at http://www.chax.net/ and http://www.chax.net/frameset.html. -Evil Laugh - Sorry PPo I thought Michells statement was a bit too blunt at first. Then I saw your page. You might want to label the gallery with a word such as 'gallery' or 'pictures'. I tried to find the picture and therefore allowed the requisite 30 seconds of browsing But the main page was so obstuficated I couldn't figure out what was I to do to locate the gallery. As a result I gave up. Sorry. Can you supply us a direct link? On the otherhand I think the green in this picture is a nice touch. And orginally I thought it was a train. I guess it is an oldie but goodie. It's definitely different than what I expected from the title. Bsteph

Yep, a tractor, know them well. I like the color distortion, it seems to give it the old look but in a psychedlic way and that's a combo that's hard to pull off. I didn't go see the original.

OK. I tried your site. I looked at the poetry links. Now frozen dear wood. Are you saying that it was on your site but it was too big therefore it was removed or it was never on your site. I agree 105KB as opposed to 150MB is quite a reduction BUT why was it 1.5MB to begin with? What resolution did you use? I gather you used a regular camera and scanned it. But inorder for you to post it here it was nescessary to reduce the colors to such a drastic extent! Please say it was not so. Seriously I would love to se the original photo can you post a URL for the photo? Bsteph

bSteph---------- OH, DEERWOOD... it is there in the Poetry section in the upper left corner...that is a photoessay ........................ tractorgears and resolution-------- I just popped for the 3.2 megapixel Sony 72 -- that is a "postcard" camera as it turns out -- the $.29 Target prints blew me away -- OK, first off, the Sony 72 makes a 1.5 MB photo file. Secondly the effect was in removing content via computer software and I tried many I have. Did you notice that when you send photos to a mail recipient via Outlook Express they make the photo smaller? I was seeking advice on reducing the digital

OH! Thanks PPsphere! That was a wonderfull short story - essay. I really like the photos. I am going to paste the url here. http://webpages.charter.net/pprochnow/new_page_19.htm I am looking forward to when you decide to make a gallery at your site. I know it will be breathtaking. Thankyou for telling me where the Deerwood poen - photos are. I made a mistake and clicked on the poetry links. I had forgotten how large BMP pics are. I thought Sony was regularly using jpg as a picture format? I find converting my images into jpg and applying a 10% reduction then saving the image at a resolution of 640 x 480 always works. Withought loosing much visual detail. How do you like the Sony printer? Bsteph

gee Bsteph i am a tad embarassed but gratified you and hopefully others can appreciate by the time you read the little story the ani.gif tree starts dancing or stretching like that that is the rottenest old tree not exactly lovely...but woods are like that I found a converter for pics ...i email them to myself....caught some red maple buds....one day only deal so i was glad i was there....the email converter was relatively quick and easy versus all the searching i did to find the format switch...PSP save to .gif but it was double the 200KB to post here catch ya later
