i know nothing about poser except what i've seen in the galleries here. i've noticed that a lot of artists start from 3rd party add-ons, like the michael and victoria figures. i've seen both of these models with very different body types, textures and faces. what is the advantage to buying these instead of working from default poser figures? thanx.

Versatility for one. And a higher degree of realism in form. And of course that most addon's are made for them. Both Michael and Victoria have far more morphs than the default figures. They also seem to map when making textures for them. Things like having head separate from the body texture, and multi-part eyes for making some interesting effects. And the joint setup is a bit closer to real too.
