I can't get my reflections to look good...i have tried everything. I searched for tutorials. I found some that looked cool and couldnt duplicate it at all.... How do you all make your figure's eyes look so real? I'm jealous and want to know!

Syyd has a tutorial on giving them the 'wet look' at Curious Lab's site. http://www.curiouslabs.com/ Don't know about 'reflections' thou except there are eye glint props availible in Free Stuff (can't remember who made them off hand)

Oh! Also if you have Amazing Grace for V3, there is a cool included eye reflection for P5 in that package too! (see MP)

i went through Sidd's tutorial - his is on V2 eyes, i'm using V3 eyes. Is the eyeball matzone the same as the cornea, or do i use the pupil? i messed around with reflections, etc all day and all i get is some funky white dots.

Here's a render for you. Not the best, but it's a start. Next I'll show the settings used. Her right eye, the one on our left, is left at default. Her left eye, on our right, is using my settings. Textures are default DAZ high rez maps.

And here are the settings used. Make a Sphere_Map off of reflection (Lighting/Environment Map/Sphere_Map) Connect an image to use as a reflection map to the color of the sphere map. I also added Phong (Lighting/Specular/Phong) to the alternate_diffuse. This is all applied to the left cornea. Next I'll post the reflection map used.

And here's the Reflection map used. Not the best, but you're free to use it (I just took the picture for this little test). I had to dummy it down a hair to be able to post it here, but it shouldn't effect the look. Good luck to you! GF

And yes, the Eyeball zone is the same as cornia (V2 vs V3). As Syyd's (and by the way, that's "she") is for making a 'wet look' to the eye, GraphicFoxx's addresses your question about Reflection. Thanks GraphicFoxx, I think I'll try mixing the two and see what they produce!

Try adding Anisotropic as a node to Alternate_Specular for the Cornea. Play with the first three values for me _Value = 0.03 u _Size = 0.3 v _Size = 0.05
