In a Poser animation, is it possible to do bouncing breasts?? Or is that not possible?? Or should I just export the animation to a 3D program like 3DMax or Maya and animate the bouncing breasts there???
Little_Dragon posted Sun, 27 April 2003 at 8:24 PM
Poser doesn't have soft-body dynamics, so you'd have to fake it with morphs or magnets, keyframing the movement manually.

Well, then, can I save the animation and open it in 3DMax or Maya (forgot which one my friend has at his job) and do it there? Use the soft-body dynamics there and will it be affected by the animation??

Yep, gotta use magnets. You can either parent the magnet to the chest, then select the zone to effect as both left and right collar, and reshape the zone to the breasts, or you can add a magnet to both collars seperately. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Oh, and the weblink is for a magnet tutorial if you haven't worked with them before.TheHookUp posted Sun, 27 April 2003 at 8:48 PM
No, I have not used magnets. I just bought Poser 4 a few days ago because it was on sale really cheap at a software store where I live. They had Poser 5 (just got them) but it was too expensive for me, since I'm moving on my own this weekend, so I have to save money, so I ended up buying 4.

And in answer to your second question, unless you've got Poser 4 with Pro Pack, you can't import/export animations; you'll need to use Poser magnets to render in Poser. Good luck! I'm glad to see more people using Poser for animations! Too many people only do still shots ;)

Sweet Christmas! Poser Pro Pack?? What is that?? Well, I think I will have to learn how to use magnets, then, and animate the thing there.

The PAE by Masa is pretty cool. Anyone ever made the morphs for other character besides "Nene Lite"?
Jaager posted Sun, 27 April 2003 at 11:13 PM
If there is a rotation or trans dial that you are using to make the figure go up and down, it is very easy to make the breast morphs be JCM and the movement will be automatic. What you cannot get with the single tie is lag or momentum. The link is real time. You can make a null channel add this in, or fine tune the key frames using the breast morphs directly.

In answer to lynnJonathan's question, yes I did make some PAE morphs for the P4 woman. It's pretty simple as you could use some of the standard movement morphs, and rename them with a PAE prefix to add them to PAE's system. If you've never seen the PAE in action you are lucky, because you don't know what you're missing in Poser 5. It's a shame Masa didn't develop it further as it would be a best-seller as a utility.

There were some walk designer files that added some bounce to walking V2 chars....

I have animated the breast natural dials to get a decent bounce. Also nerd has a great walk designer set that keys the bouce. I have used it and is great for the bounce and walking in high heels. You Do NOT need to use magnets for this just get a Vicky2 and key frame her "up and down" breast morphs in the Graph editorwolf359 posted Mon, 28 April 2003 at 10:03 PM

Hmmm..."post your bouncing breasts animations here..." I'm sure I have one somewhere; an old sumo wrestler battle I believe...:-) (actually, I was testing out the PAE system mentioned above; worked pretty well) This must be one of the typical things one does with poser; trying to emulate soft body dynamics on mammelaries (sounds scientific, doesn't it?) :-)
