All I can say is I hope I don't burn myself out :D This summer is the summer of my High School Graduation (yay!) So, this summer I'm trying to plan something entertaining, even though I'm not going 'off' to college this coming semester(I'm staying here for a year, taking some minor photography classes at a community college, because I've never actually had a class in it before) I still want to spend it well, and near the end of the Summer I've already got my big trip planned, going to Bonaire(in the Netherland Antilles, just north of Venezuela) for 10 days, but before that I've got my whole summer, I'm thinking road trip, but then I'm struck with a choice, I live in North Central Texas(Dallas area) and I'd say I'm looking in a range of to the top of Colorado, all the way over to California(of course, I wouldn't be able to travel nearly all this, and California might be a bit of an extreme, but still, very nice) So, what I'm looking for is suggestions, from anyone who wishes to give it, on where I should head, or any particular areas of States that would make a trip, in part, worth while. I wonder if I phrased that right, I'm sure you get my implications .)

I've come to find that opportunities are everywhere. There is no part of this county that can't produce excellent challenges and rewards. It's all in the personal preference, and of course, the eye. Wide scenic shots are always nice to look at, but the closer detail is where it's at, IMHO.

Oh I know just how opportunistic anywhere can be, however, I'm looking for something I can't get here, for instance, we're rather short on majesty in grand scale, and other things like that, something new, and of course I'll come back here, and go through all I do now.

Sedona Arizona. Take lots of film and be prepared to be awestruck. its a far cry from Dallas! Although Dallas is great. Net my wife when I lived there. Going back some day too! Magick Michael

Southern Utah...2 days max from dallas (I made it in a day and a half from columbus,TX. south of Austin, west of Houston on I-10) Bryce canyon, Capitol reef, Zion...etc. THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE ON THE PLANET LIKE THIS AREA! It is just truly amazing.

With a whole summer you can get in an amazing amount of territory. I took 31 days to travel from New Hampshire south through Louisiana, Texas, Arizona up through Death Valley into California, San Francisco to San Diego then back east via Grand Canyon, New Mexico. The coat of California is very beautiful. Big Sur National Park is awesome. Michael is right, Sedona AZ is gorgeous too. Take a picture of everything that remotely catches your interest. My one regret is that I didn't take more shots.
