How do you get such nice sharp edges? Everytime I import a greyscale into the terrain editor it looks rounded and spiked. Not to mention looking a mile high at points. Enlighten me oh Master ;)

LOL.. well ...first I make a 1024x1024 pic.. and I select a 1024x1024 terrain resolution.. Once my pic is done I apply a smooth blur to it.. then I import it in the terrain editor.. if it's still too sharp edged, I apply some "smoothing" in the elevation editing tools.. that's all!

I'll have to try matching the terrain res. I can see how it would get mucked up going from a large res to the default in the terrain editor. Thanx for the tip.
