You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

In the inset picture, her pupils look very round, she does have rounder pupils than most cats. Cin- is working on a slit pupil morph.

When my cats had certain feelings - their pupils would go round - but usually bigger than what you show. Fabulous cat you have going there! Amazing work! -dg

When are you going to release this texture and the others? I'm so amazed at what you've done with our Poser cat! Is there any remote possibility of releasing them? I've been literally looking for years, for something this well done. Please help us poor Poserites to actually give a realistic and beautiful cat presence to the forlorn P4 cat.

Those eyes are props Cin- made. I will be releasing the cat textures in the near future - watch the showcase forum for details. (And hopefully that comment is not going to get the whole thread moved to the showcase forum.)

Daio, did you postwork the texture at all? It has a more natural look than the renders I did the other night....more fluffy. Or is there a bump setting that I don't have set right in P5? Same for the eyes. Your's seem to have "more texture" than what I was able to generate and are set in a bit deeper than mine. This cat is a deinite improvement over the plain vanilla p4 cat....that's for sure! And the textures are super!:)

I use my AnthroEyes with the Poser cat, myself. Anything is an improvement over those malformed, nonposable blobs. I also add a small amount of transparency to the whiskers.

I did brush out the fur a bit in post and sharpened the image a tad. Lighting and render size also have an effect. I rendered this very large 3000x3000 with very bright lights. I've also noticed that my P5 testers never get as crisp a render as I do in Poser 4 (Having a Mac computer, Poser 5 is not an option for me)

Interesting.....wonder if the P4 renderer would make a difference? Either can be used in P5. I just tend to use firefly since it's the default. I'll have to try both and see if there's a difference. I think saving as a .tif might help when using the firefly renderer. I tend to save anything where I don't need the mask, as a .jpg, and at the highest resolution possible. You can also adjust the resolution level in P5. The default is 72.

dpi only has an effect when you're printing.
Daio posted Tue, 29 April 2003 at 7:19 PM
In poser 4 saving as jpg always gives you a less crisp image than saving as a tif. I do not know if that is the case in Poser5
