How do I make a cr2 point to an obj, Like: figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:something:something.obj instead of custom geometry, Like: actor chest:1 geomCustom I thought maybe editing in word pad....but I figure there's got to be an easier way...

See my message above for the actual how-to. It does, of course, involve text editors. There is of course an easier way, but you'd need to learn to program.

You can go to the Poser Tech group and get John Stalling's cr2Edit, a free app specifically designed to edit cr2s, pp2s, etc. Make sure you get version 1.51, not 1.52 (buggy) Basically, all you need to do is paste over the block 'geomCustom' with your file path, ie. 'figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:something:something.obj' mac

Thanks dodger, Well that explains why my files were getting hosed, I've been using CR2 editor 1.52

Ah... I never used 1.52, but have always avoided it, as I heard it corrupted files. A bummer. Stil.... 1.51 is perfect. mac >not dodger< LOL
