Have you ever noticed how the majority of 3D applications/programs come with a default sickly grey background/working area...? I wonder if it is because the manufacturers are involved with Nano-technology and know that the ultimate and final render of everything we know will be a picture of Grey Goo...?

I think you're right, and it's spreading. Amapi's latest version switched from pure black background to sickly gray. Entropy, y'know.

All the major technology companies certainly are and the UK Government is giving them full support. Nanotechnology will certainly transform our World... when you consider that Nanobots will be able to build such things as aircraft from the raw materials and get them 100% perfect evry time. Plus the fact that they are capable of manipulating individual atoms and will be able to manufacture materials that currently don't exist. BUT... if they ever got out of control... then unfortuanely Ernyoka1's scary picture will become a reality...!

it's no longer a grey world, Max..;) Hey, maybe it's just political correctness run amuck, all the cool colors have been taken by the Crips, the Bloods, et al. My version of Amapi renders in Black background, is that ok?..;)
