Hello i have finally find 3dlabs oxygen card here .Before i buy ,may be next week,i want to be sure that the open gl driver and hardware really accelerate Carrara on my Intel PentiumIII .Is someone have some experience about it?

I am running a dual pIII 500 and it works great. I have the Oxygen VX1 and I must tell you that it is an excellent card, however operating system does make a difference in performance. I use it with NT4 but I have seen it used with 98 and it seems to run well. Best of all is it is a very fast card, however it does not have the fill rate of a Geforce or Voodoo card, it does however have GREAT texturing and Polygonal correctional tracking abilities. "No missing polygons etc...." There is no doubt that it is a good investment.

Thanks Shroud!I want to run it on PIII 750 ,256 Ram and Win 98 SE .I am sure it is a good card .Steve Shant recommand it also and i have a respect for his opinion :Internet Eye say also it a good hardware. If i played games ( but i have no time for),i would choose GeForce card. But i just have time to do graphics and 3d modelling(real life obligation).I think Carrara is still too slow for me on my G200 matrox .I know it have an option for open gl hardware . Ibem for Bryce4 .So ,i hope that someone have a direct experience with 3dlabs card using Carrara and Bryce and could say me:yes,it accelerate and make a difference for the price(299$ Us for the vxg 1 model is not a cheap price for me)

I do use it with Carrara but mainly I use it for 3DSmax and Lightwave. I bought Carrara because I can model much faster with it than I can with my primary solutions. It works VERY WELL with Carrara but again I am running NT40 and I have yet to see Carrara ran under Win98 although many people do run it under 98, I have never seen it personnally so I cannot comment on it. But Yes the VX1 runs very well with Carrara and very fast also. So if you Carrara is one of your motivations for purchasing the card, oh then by all means go for it. VX1 + Carrara = A very happy user!
