I just purchased Vue and absolutely love it. Far better than Bryce IMO and competes with some of the higher end software too. Biggest problem? The slow rendering times. Anyone know of a renderfarm that handles Vue? Thanks!---mad

Ya there is a few of them around. But how to get hold of the guys that run them is maybe a problem. I tried a search here on this forum you may want to try that also. There is one guy here than runs one.

What is a renderfarm?
MightyPete posted Wed, 07 May 2003 at 8:27 PM
Well there is a program called render farm for mover I beleave. But I think he's looking for somebody with a ton of machines that will render for him for a small fee.

Right, Mover 4 can render on as many machines you have on your network. But it ONLY renders animation, no still images. :-)Guitta

is someone try to use Cow over the internet ?
runwolf13 posted Thu, 08 May 2003 at 9:51 AM
Again... let me put the emphisis on the fact that Rendercow only renders animation. Not stills. So if you're complaining about render times in stills, a renderfarm ain't gonna help. Runwolf

There is a way to render monster sized stills without rendercow as long as you have a good sized network of high speed machines. What? Yup sorry to say it is possible.madriver posted Thu, 08 May 2003 at 10:34 PM
The problem is most renderfarms I found only render Maya, Max, Lightwave or Bryce.

Well I'm sure I read that one guy does it for Vue cause he uses Vue but I can't remember his name. Mojoworld is also available somewhere. Rendercow from E-on with Mover will work on animations the only other way is the tile rendering for stills at the moment. It's works well though. Oh I keep forgetting. If you don't do things right render times will be longer than they need be. Search the forum here for answers how to speed it up. A well made scene will render way faster than a poorly put togeather one. Repeat after me. "Grouping is my friend "!
