I dont know if this has been asked for but it is something that bothers me about the cloak and I am fighting trying to make one myself but welllllllll.... On the V3 cloak it sits really nicely on the shoulders but there is not logical way this thing would sit like that without a clasp! why didnt they but a fastening? I mean it is open for such a wonderful two broach and chain clasp!! one that perhaps can have MATS to change the reflection maps and the textures perhaps jewels I can do the texture maps but I cant seem to actually make the model for the clasp. perhaps a smart prop......

I've been thinking the same thing. The only logical way that I can see that it might be accomplished would be with the fantasy collar, making the clasps there. The way that the fantasy collar sits on the neck it just might work...well, just an idea, but I've got so many things on my plate that to try it would just confuse me more.

The idea of the FMC I dont know if it would work as it doesnt go to the folds of the hood. it would have to be two round {or basic shaped "broaches} that would smart position to the folds at the neck of the cloak then a chain or somthing on those lines. it can then be dressed up with differenct textures...I just dont know how to do it as the only 3d proggy I have is poser and that whole grouping objects thing is not working for me........

it is GREAT! that is veryyyy much what I was thinking of!! I was thinking of bigger "broaches" but I see with this picture that they would need to be the size you are showing.

Daz has an amulet kit that allows you to make amulets, broaches, earrings, etc. from a basic shape. A few presets are included to help you get going. Now if someone would do a bendable chain we'd be in business.:)

Until brought up in this thread, I hadn't taken notice that the cloak is missing a closure. Going back to view Daz's renders, I can't believe I missed it. The cloak realistically could not be worn without one.

nope it could not specially the way it sits on the shoulders. it is a shame with all the fabulouse textures that are available {that also allow for such a variety of clasps and designs} there are not closures for it. you can go from everything of antique silver to jeweled gold to leather or wood with chains or strings of pearls etc... as you can see it is dancing in my head but I have no way of building it ~sighs~

Thanks Bobbie...that was all post work and a quickie at that. The post was done in PSP using tubes. I had created some chain links somewhere along the line, and just used those.
