I just installed P5 on one my of older PC, which I upgraded. I installed P5 from the CD, Sr3, and updater. P5 installed OK, ... but on the first render, I noticed I do not have the "Render Cancel" pop up. I loaded Judy,Don,Will,Penny all with Hair and 3 lights. When I clicked render nothing happened, no render cancel box no little blue bar, no adding objects, no rendering shadows ect... but It was rendering and it finished the render. Is there a window option I need to open, so I can see the render statues? This Pc only has basic stuff, Poser is the only program on it.

That hasn't been a problem for me with P5/win2k. Actually, the render box shows just fine with any of the service patches. It doesn't cancel very well, but I do get to see the progress bar.

Also my material room window is huge, and I can not scale it down.

You could try resetting your setting to factory default. It's in one of the menu options. If that doesn't work try deleting your .ini or .xml file in Runtime/ui or maybe Runtime/prefs. I can't remember. I do it quite often though so let me know if you can't find it and I'll look from home. HTH, Khelben

Try canceling the with the ESC key, it might work better. On the UI problem: Please post your resolution and whether you have set the Interface Preferences to launch to factory state or to previous state (Edit->General Preferences). khelben's advice sounds good, you should try setting your Interface Preferences to launch to previous state. Then go to Runtime/Prefs and delete the XML file with has your resolution in its name, but not the word 'Default'.
