I just got a copy of Poser 5 a couple of weeks ago, and have no previous experience with any Poser, so I apologize in advance if this question (or any future question) is extremely novice.

As for my question, when you do texture variation in the face room, how do you then match the rest of the skin to the color the face now appears to be?

I found a subcategory under figure in the materials room called faceroomSkin, but if I copy and paste from this to my SkinBody object I get strange things like eyes where there shouldn't be eyes (I assume because faceroomSkin uses the face map and SkinBody uses the body map file). I tried exporting a picture and getting the exact color values with color picker in PSP, but I don't know where to apply these as the map file for the faceroomSkin object seems to be colored and plugging these values into diffuse color does not create a match.

So if anyone could tell me how I might match up these skin colors I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance,
Sheridan

Service Release 3 is supposed to address this by providing a colour-matching option in the Face Room. I haven't tried it myself, though. Poser 5 has only been around about eight months, so we're all novices, as far as it's concerned.

The new SR3 seems to wrok using low res textures...a box pops up asking if you want to match the colors... Not to confuse the issue, hopefully, but when I used high res..in my case 2048x2048, the box did not pop up and the colors were mismatched...when I used the high res texture, a box asking if I wanted to use 512x512 or 2048x2048 did pop up... maybe its one or the other??? or a bug? I need to experiment with that a bit more, but for most work, it appears the box will pop up... Otherwise, if you go into the material room, you can reassign the textures to the parts in there.
