I'm trying to find a quick, easy way to rotate Vic at her hands (as the center of rotation)on the z axis. Is this possible? Thanks.

I think I found it. Move her hands down to ground plane... Kinetics on, for hands... "display ground plane" off. If there's a better way, please tell. :)

I was thinking of parenting the hands to the bar and locking them but haven't tried it yet. The IK that you did should be the better way.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Add sphere prop to your scene and move it to the position of the figure's hands. Set the origin of the the sphere to its center and set the sphere as the figure parent. Rotate the sphere and the figure will follow. Here's a quick little animation showing what I'm talking about. Hope this helps you Ed

Poor Posette says, "Make it stop ... I'm gonna hurl!" :)

Hey maybe this will reverse the hurling effect :)

toolstech posted Sun, 11 May 2003 at 11:50 AM

Ugh. I'm sorry, but reversing a hurl does not sound all that appealing, either. :)

Nudity, where?

Ask me a question, and I'll give you an answer.

You could also play with the Inverse Kinematics chain by editing the heirarchy to run it all the way down from her hands to her hip. But then, that's a lot of work, too ;)

...and thank you. I'll give it a try. I didn't want to offend any of the "senitive" members with her lack of clothing.
