lights lights lights ... the environment is great but it is flat. make a great light geberated form the bolt.

vasquez is completely right. That bolt should create a tremendous light. It is an excellent lightning bolt, it should be the focus of your piece...great start though

Beautiful bolt! How'd you do it?

Agree with Vasquez I do... Dynamic lighting is the key here.. Your lighting bolt is great and the environment is nice.. But we see too much.. Perhaps a different orientation of your camera will solve it..

it took me a bit before I realized that it was a ship getting hit with the lightening. Maybe zoom in a bit or lightne up the scene so that people know what they are looking at. Just my $.02 worth.

Nice lightning. It needs a bit extra glow and light though. Maybe let someone flying a kite with a copper wire get hit. That way it's easier to make the lightning the focus of the piece.

Thanks for the input, it seems that I need to work on the lighting and possibly a new camera angle. Jaymonjay: The bolt is simply a picture object.

hi... a little suggestion if you might, how bout focusing on the ship, like a dogs eye view or a fish eye view (out of water) if you might, getting struck by that lighting with little and bits of pieces splashing around... that wuold be good, you coud use the terrain with water txture for the spalshing effect and draw the lightnign in photoshop, with a glow added... just a little thought, if its okay with ya... but all in all your pics great! eyecon
