hey guys does anyoine here know how to make lightening in bryce? if its nto possible tell me :)

I don't know if you can literally make lightning or not. What I'm using right now is some presets I picked up from somewhere (3dcommune maybe?...don't remember). All they are is a 2D plane with a lightning jpg applied. I'm wondering if you couldn't monkey with a tree however... Make a tree without leaves, only a few branches, apply some sort of bright material to it and bury the roots in a cloud? Dunno... I'll have to try that myself! :o)

Ive always used a 2d plane myself and find the highest rez pic on the net, usually get decent results

I saw a tut once upon a time about making your lightning in the terrain editor.... I haven't attempted it myself... might have to now though.

Hi Check out my picture of the sea dragon 'stormy seas' or somesuch the lighning are poser props back ones on a 2d plane and the closer one is a model I can't remember who made them (i'm at work so can't look at my own libraries) but I'll see what I can dig up. Dave

goto 3Dcommune....i have a lightning pack i put up in freestuff over there, i get it up here too...
