I made a new image and thought some of you might like to know how it was made. The image can be seen at the link provided.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

I saw a documentary on Ramases the Great just yesterday. There was a lot about this kind of representation of the Pharaoh. The thing I noticed (nit-picking) was that the eye on the figure was MUCH bigger than you have here, I think at least the length of the eyebrow. The figure in general looks a little too rounded and to solve this I would have turned it more to it's left, thus presenting a harder profile. In turn the hand too would have been more upright, as if almost in a 'shaking hands' position. Just my 0.2p worth. Many thanks for the tut....no pun intended!

Great Tut, TJohn! In both senses... :)

As to the pose, I was using a photoreference of the real thing. They all seemed to be posed with a three-quarter view of the chest, and a full profile of the head. Eyes are about the size here. And the hand is supposed to be using the keyboard. But thanks for the comments, you make good points. Egyptian wall art varied quite a bit, some was unpainted, some were painted on only, no carving, etc.
