Actually I was thinking of focusing Dodger's Free Stuff on robots for a while, since I've done lightsabres and blasters a bit to death. I have a mimic-compliant Bender idea.

Hmm, gonna have to model faster than that L I made him in 3DSMax in abuot an hour last night, 'cause my wife asked me for a Gir. B^) (it took another two hours this morning to make all the facial morphs and fix up the JPs (I PHI'd him in that hour last night).)

JICC 3000 would clap at the birth of the new bot, but he only has one hand. seriously I'm glad to see your back to modeling and looking forward to new things that you model, I like your style. That being said, I bought JICC 3k because you said that an addon hand would be coming, and my purchase is sitting on a CD thrown in a drawer. bring on the boos, hisses, flamin, slammin, sorry just needed to express my disapointment (and bad spelling). btw, what is GIR, the doom song etc from? is this a Futurama thing or something elese?

Gir is from the ill-fated Nickelodeon cartoon, Invader Zim, created by, I believe, Jhonen Vasquez. The show was great, but from what I heard, didn't exactly live up to Nickelodeon's "family standards"... as if they crap they have on is any better.

TV show called Invader Zim aparently. shrug I'm not that hip on modern underground hip stuff.

"I loved you pigeee..I loved you soooo much"!! I love Gir! He is one of the funnyest parts of the show. Zim rocked to bad it didnt last. That and spounge bob were the only reasons I watched Nick. Well the ocasional AGHHHHH real montsers was cool.

I tell you, this is all some evil plot by Dodger.. He's an alien! An alien I tell you!. Just look at those eyes... I loaded this model and all the sudden the little silver thing was jumping around on my screen tweaking everything laughing like a kid while blairing from my speakers "What's this do!?" repeatedly. I couldn't handle it.. Thankfully I finally bowed my head and mumbled a wish "Please, just stop this and go away." And the thing's high pitched metal voice squeeked out "Okeydokey" and disapeared. It was a few minutes later before I realized he took all my animal models. So very strange that it could only be a plot by Dodger's evil alien genious. I'm trying.. What is that thing? Hey get away from me. I don't need a coat! What's wrong with the sleeves... Hey..

(P.S. Dodger isn't an alien (I think) and thanks for a great model. I was just talking to a bud about this a few days ago)

Fortunately on their other station on the week-ends Invader Zim is still aired, and in blocks for joy. :) I adore Gir; any chance of modeling Gir in his 'doggy' disguise?

_dodger, I love your robots, and hope you'll keep making 'em. JICC 3000 is such a charmer. This thread is slightly embarrasing for me because I used to work for Nickelodeon, but haven't paid any attention since leaving, and have no idea what half the Nick characters I see around are. IOW, I had no idea that this robot was a Nick thingie, I just thought it was a _dodger invention. When Spongebob Squarepants started up, we staffers were like, "what the...?" Now the kids love him. My fave at the time was "Angry Beavers," but I don't think that one lasted... Ah, the good old days of the tech boom...

I can see it on a station here but I am not sure which one. It is one of the extra cable things and I am not sure of the schedule. I really don't get the Spongebob thing at all.
