Does this mean that in Poser 5 the serial number does not come in the box with the CD-ROM etc, but I must mess about getting it separately??? Is this yet more security messing about!?!?!?

When i got any Poser or Bryce edition, one of my first acts was to copy the serial numbers onto a separate piece of paper which I kept in another place.

Missplacing your serial number can be distressing, I am sure that if you contact Curious Labs, they will give you a serial number (providing you can provide them with proof of purchase etc..). I would let you have mine but that would be a breach of copyright etc.. and I do not know if you have a legitimate copy! Curious Labs will know if it is legit and will help anyone whom has genuine software problems.

Why in the world do you think anyone would give you their serial number? Or, why didn't you get a "crack" from the same place that you got your illegal, warzed version of P5? By the way, the patches only work on fully registered and licensed versions of P5. So, have fun with your buggy, un-patched version.

Hey there is a way to work out what your serial no is. In front of you, when you are looking at your computer screen there is a keyboard. On the keyboard you will find keys (strange that, I often wondered why it was called a keyboard!!) Guess what some of those keys make up your serial no. No kidding it really works, I tried it once. I bought this product and with it came a whole series of characters. Some of them were the same as the ones on my keyboard, so I thought to myself. I wonder if I typed those characters in, could I then use my software? I typed them in, and the software works but I still can't use it yet got a whole lot of learning to do.

The number is written on the last page of the manual and so long as you have not "lost" the manual as well you should be fine. Failing that, open up the card covers that the CD's came in and the number is also written in small print on the inside bottom left. 0::::::))) Post 106 or therabouts A record!
