Admit it, posting silly things in a warez thread ranks among the most fun you have all day.

no doubt =) ... the latest sure was a hoot

c1rcle posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 12:25 PM

true, but life would be just so boring if you don't have a little fun from time to time :)

Coleman posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 12:37 PM

Drats! I missed it. We should devise a prize for whomever has the last post before a 'warez' thread is locked. Or the one who gets the most posts in. Maybe that person can get their picture on the front page for "Warez thread Monthly Champion".

JoeyAristophanes posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 12:39 PM

Well, it didn't help me get a s/n for this really nifty copy of Poser 2 I bought off the back of a potato truck. Now what the hell am I supposed to do?

c1rcle posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 1:02 PM

O_o poser2? Ramnimus I have a nasty feeling the competition wouldn't last long cause the mods always have the last post in them threads.

Axe_Gaijin posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 1:43 PM

Wait.. you mean wackyness should be limeted to warez threads only? Damn... guess I'm in trouble....

maclean posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 3:29 PM

Still, it's amazing what you learn from these threads.... That huge thing that came with poser was the manual? I thought it was landfill or a doorstop or something, and threw it away. No wonder I couldn't figure out where the 'vicki nekkid in a temple' button was..... mac

maclean posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 3:34 PM

PS The thing that REALLY makes me laugh is, the poor, sad f*%ker must've got 121 ebots. That'll larn him!! mac

Crescent posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 3:43 PM

I think kev just let the thread go on so long to let everyone have some fun. If anyone is feeling let out, I suppose I could go create a clone account and ask for warez around 6pm GMT. ;-}~

bikermouse posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 4:13 PM

I thought about posting to that thread but decided ... Nah! He'll get his without me adding to it.

Replicant posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 4:52 PM

I think maclean just hit the mods dastardly plan on the head. THATS why they took so long to lock it. :o).

You guys had fun this morning didn't you? :-)

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

Lyrra posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 5:39 PM

durn ... and to think I was out WORKING all day sigh thanks for the fun read though guys :) (see we're actually having a contest for 'most inventive warez thread reply') Lyrra the Late

Well, getting slapped down for piracy is something the wares kiddies are used to. Being on the bottom of a heap of a hundred artists pushing and sweating to get their opportunity to jump up and down on his aching noggin has got to hurt. No respect... just footprints from the passing herd. Carolly

Dave-So posted Thu, 22 May 2003 at 8:40 PM

Are those ebots working again ????

I also loved the twisted nursery rhymes. Little Bo Peep, I killed her sheep...

Did you know that if you Google search in their image section for a Uranus map, you get led to George Bush's natal chart? (And NO, I'm not kidding!) Carolly

JohnRender posted Fri, 23 May 2003 at 8:31 AM

How about a prize for the best request for a serial number or free copy of Poser? "The dog ate my manual and CD" is alright, but give it more flair. See my posting in that warez thread (#108 or something): the dog ate my computer then got ate by a wolf, then hit by a truck... and so on. To make a long story short, my father left us in a drunken rage and my mom almost died in a hospital fire when she lost the newborn triplets. So, that's why I need a new Poser 5 serial number.

aleks posted Fri, 23 May 2003 at 11:40 AM

"they shipped me a serial version but gave me only parallel number. i need serial number now."
