What would you say, up to this moment, is your most defining photograph. If you can, post it and tell us why... I think this could be either your personal favorite shot or a shot that you feel says the most of what you are trying to say with your work.... Sorry didn't meant to conjure up a great philosophical debate, just curious. Jack ps, now that I have asked this question, I have to figure mine out...duh!...

A very good question...one I've never thought about. This is going to take some thought...

Impossible question to answer. Requires more of a qualifier. I have shots that I like because they portray a particular element of something, for example: human natures such as love, giving, tenderness, anger, etc.. Then there are those shots I like for the technical aspects, such as: light, contrast, color, reflection, motion, etc... Then we get into nature, such as: landscapes, water, clouds, sky, trees, grass, etc... I guess you can see what I mean. I like your idea though, I just think you would need to qualify the shot with one of the above categories. Sounds kind of like the same idea as the monthly challenge to me.

I could never answer that question, because I really don't know the answer.... I have far too many images that have a lot of personal meaning.... ! What am I trying to say with my work that a single image can convey?.... I like the question, but it's far too difficult to answer...I think you would have to look at a person body of work as a whole not a single image to get the answer...
I am, therefore I create.......

Just look up to the forum banner. That one and "The Ben" are my favorites. You can see them both on my website [www.zhounder.com] in the Places Gallery. Magick Michael

Nnngh.. so many hard questions!!! sigh As regards actual photo's, it's pretty hard for me coz I haven't got that many good ordinary pictures... I guess it would probably be the explosion one I posted a while back - mainly coz the explosion happened about 15 seconds early and not many people got a shot of it..... I've even seen one in a local publication that wasn't as good as mine :) If you mean manipulated, it's a hard decision between my 'Doorway' pic with the door in the sea or my 'Strange Place' with the hay bales in among the the posts under a bridge. Saying that, none of this stuff comes close (imo) to the work I've been doing lately. Just a shame that a minority in Rosity have peed me off so much that I'm not posting my 2D stuff here anymore, and I've had very little time for photography.... sigh (",)
