For instance in the attached picture, the petals in her hand (can't see too well in this angle but it is a little mound) as well as the ones falling from her hand in front of her use Digital Carver Guild's anything grows with invisible stalks/base to place the petals.
In another scene, I use AGr to place fall leaves on terrains.
I tried to use Agr to make sort of a lumpy snow look using little half-dome objects. Turns out to be the perfect technique for modeling cauliflower if anyone has a pressing need for that ;-)
I didn't use it in the pic but earlier tried a swoop of petals coming from behind the dryad where I used the AGr width shader to make the more distant one smaller for a nice depth effect. I use the width shader in the flower and grass behind the dryad to provide some depth.
Also found Anything Grooves useful for the snow in the winter scene where I could use the wave shaders to get some snow banks.
Anyway, I found Anything grows to be much easier to control than the particle generator and you can use it to place any type of object. For static images (which is all I do), it is much nicer. Heres to the AGr particle generator ;-)
