For some reason my lighting effects are not showing up when I go to Filter > Render > Lighting Effects. I can't select any and I can't save any.I go into the PlugIns folder and all the styles are there. I have tried the following suggestions from another forum without success: ____________________________________________________________ "I finally got it to work. WOO HOO!!! I copied my custom lighting styles to my desktop, deleted the Photoshop plug-ins folder, reinstalled PS and pasted the custom lighting styles from my desktop into the lighting styles directory. It works perfectly." "I found something on the adobe forums that seems to have worked for me - the issue is with NTFS compression on NT/2K/XP drives. I un-checked the hardware compression for my adobe PS folder (right click choose properties and then advanced and un-check "compress contents to save disk space" and that seems to have fixed things." ____________________________________________________________ I would welcome any other suggestions please. Thank you all in advance Arnold

The Adobe Forum has provided me with the answer.....in case anyone else has the same problem........... "It has been reported that the problem with Lighting Effects presets are resolved when re-enabling indexing for the Lighting Styles folder. How to check your disk indexing: In Explorer, find the folder in which Photoshop is installed, then find the subfolder Plugins>Filters>Lighting Styles. Right-click this folder, and choose Properties. Under the General tab, click Advanced, then check the box that says 'Index this folder for faster search' (or similar). Reboot and check your Lighting Presets in Photoshop."
