Today, I was in an art show at the long term care center where I live. Between sales of my Bryce artwork and my book, I made $437.00. This isn't bad considering we're not in an upscale area. I want to thank the Bryce community because the piece that got the most positive comments was "Memories", the private grave image that many of you gave me help on. Interestingly though, the pieces that sold the most were technically easier and used default textures.

Great job on the money making...kinda gives me some confidence to sell some work eventually, I hope. How did you do your prints? Where at, etc... MD

I used a company called Versatile Printing Tech (link above) to print 9"x12" images on premium lustre (matte paper). I then mounted them on 11"x14" matte board. Most of my sales came from boxed greeting cards though. I had 5"x7" blank greeting cards printed up by PrintingForLess.com and I purchased stationery boxes from uline.com. I also had 4"x6" postcards printed but didn't sell as many of those.

Wow, what a great idea on the greeting cards, I never would have thought of that. Postcards would be a cool idea too, hmmm...some things to ponder. MD

Congratulations on your sales Jason I hope this encourages you to do more. The first painting I ever sold took 10 minutes to do whereas the others in the exhibition sometimes took days. It just goes to show you that sometimes the quickies are more desirable. Catlin
