It was late at night and I wasn't paying attention. IF you have PSP 6, dunno about 5. I was browsing my thumbnails using the file/browse feature. Instead of pointing the browser to graphics/models/etc to get my thumbnails., I was just tired enough to accidentally point it at the actual directory where I have my models stored. Imagine my surprise when, though it was very slow, it showed pics of the models, 98% of them in the original wireframe. Now, I have no clue what this means. or what it might be useful for, but it must be useful for something.

Bone it could be that they were in dxf format. I know that PSP will read most files that are dxf and display them a slightly flattened versions of the actual file. If it's not that then I think I'll be checking PSP out more closely :) Regards Eshal

I don't think so, it read EVERY model in the directory. Most of my models are 3DS or obj. I just don't have that many DXFs. There were a few models it showed renders of instead of wireframes, but even that amazes me

Hmmm, I tried to get PSP6 to browse my current static models directory and all it read were the dxf and image files. Maybe it is something in how you set PSP up? Anyways I'm going to dig out my old copy of PSP5 and see if does any handy tricks like you PSP6 does Bone :) Regards Eshal

I have PSP 6 and it does the same thing. It shows the wire frame. Later, Mark

do you have the psp 6 update? that takes it to like 6.1 or something? Maybe that's what does it. Basically, as far as set up, when I install PSP, and it asks what file extensions to associate with it, I just check everything, since psp is my basic image browser and converter.
